My dad is ace
Not a trace
Of self

He’s happy to be
A dad to me
And my sis

Which is quite hard work
But he doesn’t shirk
Never has

He still does our sewing
We’ll always be owing
Him loads

After 40 years
He can still dry our tears
And advise

Whatever the strains
He never complains
Though we might

He’s our solid rock
We’re just chips off his block
And we’re glad

So we wanted to say
Though it’s Father’s Day
Once a year

For our dad, there’s no rest
You’re simply the best
We love you!
